This is Via Mardot’s rare old marxophone (a fretless zither with metal hammers that produces a sound similar to a mandolin or hammered dulcimer) This is an original marxophone from the early 1900s

This one needs a little bit of work.. as you can see, the back is cracked, some strings are missing and some don’t ring out as long as the others, but as you can hear, it still sounds wonderful.
